Associate Video Editor


As Associate Video Editor, you will support the Creative Team in developing a range of creative video assets across the lifecycle of a game, from early brand ideas to promotional materials like announce trailers and seasonal sales content. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow while contributing to exciting projects.


You'll work alongside the Head of Brand, Creative Project Manager and Product Marketing Managers to grasp the creative vision for our games, understand specific requests, and help with ideation and asset creation. Strong time management is key, as timely assets are vital for marketing efforts and smooth collaboration across internal and external teams.


Assets must also follow guidelines from the creative brief, such as brand or licensing rules, to prevent last-minute revisions.


  •  Head of Brand and Creative Project Manager, assist in reviewing and understanding each creative brief requested of the Creative Team.
  • Support the creation of creative assets, which can but not limited to the following types:
    • Game trailers including announce, gameplay and launch
    • Helping with the creation of brand and visual identity for video assets such as branded idents
    • Store page video assets
    • Social media and community video assets
    • Secret Mode website assets
    • Video paid media ads
    • Dev diaries and other to camera assets
    • Secret Mode brand and brand assets

  • In alignment with stakeholders, you will assist in the end-to-end creation of video content, from initial concept to final delivery. Blend creative vision with technical expertise to help produce high-quality visual stories that align with strategic goals and resonate with target audiences.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, the Head of Brand and Creative Project Manager to contribute ideas, support scripts, provide visual direction, and help storyboard content that aligns with brand objectives and audience expectations.
  • In alignment with Creative Project Manager, assist in managing the production pipeline, including video capture, animation and handling aspects of post-production.
  • Support editing a range of content including branded campaigns, promotional videos, interviews, tutorials, and social-first clips.
  • Help align video outputs with broader content strategies, which will include the adaptation of content for platform-specific formats (e.g. YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) to maximize engagement.
  • Utilise your skills in storytelling, pacing, transitions, audio design, colour correction, and motion graphics to support high-quality asset creation.
  • Work with the Head of Brand and Creative Project Manager to support briefing, reviewing and providing feedback on work from creative agencies and freelancers, helping ensure high quality that aligns with the Secret Mode brand and our published IP.
  • Assist the Head of Brand and Creative Project Manager in advising on the correct use and implementation of Secret Mode brand assets and individual Secret Mode published titles brand assets or Licensed IP guidelines.

Requirements

  • Experience as a video editor or in a similar role.
  • Basic experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects
  • Familiarity with licensed IP is a plus for understanding and applying brand guidelines
  • Experience using raw and finalized video files to adapt or create new video assets
  • Experience capturing gameplay footage, ideally within Unreal or Unity but in-engine isn’t essential.
  • Desirable: Experience in creating animations and animated assets
  • Desirable: Experience creating video assets for online store pages, YouTube and other social media public facing platforms.
  • Desirable: Experience creating paid ads.
  • Eagerness to learn, a strong portfolio of video work, and a collaborative mindset
