Due to the nature of venture capital, we are exposed to a wide variety of unique and exciting opportunities meaning that no two days are the same.<br>About this role:<br>The Assistant Manager acts as a key point of contact and lead for a portfolio of clients under the direction of a manager and will be expected to provide accurate, well-presented client deliverables across their portfolio as well as supporting the wider fund team.<br>Key Responsibilities:<br>•Act as the first point of contact for clients (in conjunction with the Senior Fund Administrators) and act as a sub-team leader.•Supervise the day-to-day activities of Senior Fund Administrators, Fund Administrators and Trainee Fund Administrators.•Review work produced by junior members of the fund administration team.•Review, and approve, work produced by the fund administration team, including payments (in capacity as a 'B signatory' subject to successful completion of probation and in line with the Manager's agreement).•Primary responsibility for the monitoring, and maintenance of, client mailboxes - including responding to queries in a timely manner.•Provide coaching, training and support to the fund administration team.•Assisting managers with completion of key tasks and workload monitoring.•Review external communications before circulation (as appropriate and necessary).•Lead in all areas of day-to-day client work, including:ofundraising/ investor onboarding,oclient and investor queries,oinvestment purchases/disposals/consents/transfers,oinvestor transfers,onew entity set up (including GFSC applications, bank account opening, initial tax applications etc.),ocollation of due diligence documents (as required for ongoing reviews and fundraising), andoad-hoc project work as required.oWorking with other assistant managers in the team to manage workloads and identify any resourcing required from other client service teams during busy periods<br>Personal attributes:<br>•A pro-active self-starter with the ability to work independently and accurately under pressure, alwaysconsidering ways to improve efficiencies within the business.<br>•Excellent communication, team-work and interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationshipswith colleagues, clients and other stakeholders.<br>•Strong computer literacy and problem-solving skills are essential.<br>•Practical experience in, or demonstratable knowledge of, the financial services industry.<br>Qualifications and expertise:<br>• Hold or be studying towards a recognised professional qualification such as CGI (ICSA), ACCA, ACA and/or a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in fund/fiduciary administration.<br>• Ability to understand and interpret fund documentation, GFSC regulations, including the Protection of Investors law and anti-money laundering regulations.</div> </div>
