Purpose of the role:
Affinia is recruiting for a Bookkeeper to come and join the Accounts department in our Harlow office. The role will involve a full bookkeeping experience for the client.

Accountabilities:
With support, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of clients, assisting with:
• Bank reconciliation
• Month end process
• Monthly reports including revenue and monthly turnover
• Credit card receipts
• Supporting accountants with yearend, by providing accurate trial balance and reports
• VAT Returns and CIS returns and ONS Surveys

Skills/Qualifications:
• Preferably AAT qualified but qualified by experience considered
• Strong IT/Microsoft abilities
• A professional approach with the ability to communicate with clients both via email, phone and face to face
• Experience in Xero/Sage and QuickBooks
• Ability to work towards deadlines
• Understanding of VAT and CIS
• A minimum of 5 GCSE’s (Level 5 and above), which must include Maths and English language. 
• A-Levels (or equivalent) are not essential but may be advantageous, especially in the subjects of Maths and English.
• Ability to respond and be reactive to shifting priorities at short notice. 
• Have clear written and spoken communication and strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask under pressure and to mentor others.
