Are you passionate about sustainability, career readiness, and supporting your fellow students? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Working Wardrobe Intern to help run and grow our exciting campus initiative!
The Working Wardrobe is dedicated to supporting university students through the cost of living crisis by providing free access to high-quality, second-hand interview clothing. As our intern, you will play a vital role in day-to-day operations while driving promotional efforts, recruiting volunteers, and spearheading seasonal projects throughout the academic year.
Key Responsibilities
· Wardrobe Operations: Manage and run the wardrobe on a weekly basis, welcoming students, verifying interview evidence, and helping them find professional outfits suited to their style, size, and gender identity.
· Project Promotion & Outreach: Raise awareness of the Working Wardrobe across campus through creative marketing, social media, and student engagement campaigns.
· Volunteer Recruitment & Management: Recruit, coordinate, and support student volunteers to help sort donations, run wardrobe shifts, and assist shoppers.
· Seasonal Campaigns: Plan and execute special project highlights at key times of the year—such as winter jumper collections and formal dress drives during graduation season.
· Sustainability & Circular Economy: Promote our clothes-swapping and return system to ensure the project remains fully circular, keeping quality clothing out of landfills.
What We Are Looking For
· A current student who is passionate about sustainability, fast fashion reduction, and empowering peers.
· Friendly, approachable, and organized, with strong communication skills.
· An interest in retail operations, event planning, volunteer management, or marketing.
· Self-motivated and excited to take ownership of both weekly operations and special seasonal events.
This role is for 6 hours a week and is flexible around your studies
