Directors support the strategic and operational leadership of the practice, lead major partner relationships with substantial responsibility for revenue generation, lead the largest and most complex engagements, and are accountable for quality assurance and team development.

Strategic leadership Take an active role in leading the practice and contribute to the Commercial Leadership Team (CLT). Lead end to end on agreed strategic priorities, for example our approach to using evaluation data for sector benefit, or our product proposition.

Business development and growth Play a significant role in business development, external engagement and growth, including direct sales responsibility and the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns and thought leadership. Hold a business development target, supported by our ownership awards, and take responsibility for commercial performance against it.

Partnerships and delivery Lead a small number of our highest-value and most complex partnerships and act as sponsor for a larger number led by others, accountable for high-quality delivery and partner satisfaction. Contribute to team-wide quality assurance.

Product and service development Take responsibility for developing specific areas of our service offer, agreed through our annual planning cycle: new services, improvements to the quality of existing ones, or internal capability that lets the team deliver at higher quality.

Team development Line manage and develop members of the team, acting as a leader and coach, supporting professional development and fostering an inclusive culture in line with our values. Work to build strong employee engagement across the practice.
