Associate Directors assist the strategic and operational leadership of the practice, lead significant partnerships with business development responsibility, and hold primary responsibility for at least one practice priority.

Partnerships and delivery Lead several high-complexity evaluation partnerships from end to end, from Theory of Change and evaluation design through data collection to reporting, and sponsor a larger number led by others, accountable for quality and partner satisfaction. Drive partnerships forward, managing scope, stakeholders and the risk of over- or under-delivery.

Business development Hold a business development target, supported by our ownership awards, and take responsibility for commercial performance against it. Scope and price new work, lead proposals for high-value partnerships, identify renewals and extensions with existing partners, and contribute to the practice pipeline and weekly commercial meeting.

Quality and expertise Bring a strong grounding in quantitative and qualitative methods, sampling and data collection, and match them to partner needs, including through our School Impact Platform. Quality assure colleagues' outputs and help partners get to the 'so what' of the evidence, so that findings turn into programme improvements.

People and leadership Line manage members of the team, lead their professional development conversations and act as a coach and role model across the practice. Foster an inclusive team culture in line with our values.

Practice and Group Hold primary responsibility for at least one practice priority agreed in our annual planning cycle, such as a service offer or an internal capability. Contribute to Group-wide work, our residentials and professional development programme, and to setting and reviewing objectives.
