A volunteer Intern opportunity is available within the Peterborough United Academy, supporting the Analysis Department. This role offers valuable practical experience within a professional football environment, helping you develop your skills, knowledge and experience while supporting your future career development.
The Role
To contribute to the development of footballers within the Academy programme, helping the academy achieve its vision of becoming โa leading Category 2 Academy developing a minimum of 3 academy graduates per seasonโ.
To contribute towards player development through the use of performance analysis support.
Duties
- Contribute to the analysis provision across the Academy (U9 โ U16)
- Contributing to weekly analysis tasks on match day and training nights
- Contribute to the delivery of weekly analysis meetings with specific age groups
- Capture and analyse video footage to provide performance feedback
- Assist with the review of footage in creating opposition profiles and video meetings (U18 โ U16)
- Support the analysis of technical and tactical data to provide meaningful performance insights
- Support the Academyโs Individual Development Programme (IDP) through personalised video feedback
- Assist with the maintenance of the Academyโs best practice video library (U9 โ U16)
- Analyse games from the weekend with a focus on producing data reports for Academy Age Groups
- Assisting with filming evening training sessions, finalising post match analysis and creating data reports.
- Supporting the Foundation with filming for the Foundation Programme (Daytime)
- Filming and live analysis of U9-U14 matches based at the Bespoke Builds Training Ground
- Any mid-week games to be covered as and when needed.
About you
Experience and Qualifications
- Current student on an undergraduate/postgraduate sports-related degree
- FA / UEFA Coaching qualifications (Desirable)
- Experience working within professional football at Academy or First Team level (Desirable)
