The Commercial Director is a senior, revenue generating leadership role within Opera’s Strategy Office, reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer and working alongside the Head of Commercial Strategy Execution and Head of Marketing. With a strong external focus, the role is responsible for driving new business opportunities, building and deepening strategic relationships, and identifying new ways to commercialise Opera’s capabilities. Key responsibilities include originating new revenue, leading Opera’s Diamond Client programme for key account growth and retention, developing opportunities through the Founders Office and innovation ecosystem, and providing market insight to support the Group’s pricing strategy.

As a senior ambassador for the Opera brand, the Commercial Director will represent the Group across client, intermediary, venture capital, and industry networks, while overseeing selected commercially focused strategic partnerships. This is an outstanding opportunity for an established commercial leader with a proven track record of winning and growing high-value client relationships, influencing at board and executive level, and delivering measurable revenue outcomes within financial or professional services.

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial leadership, alongside deep knowledge of the funds and private client sectors. They will possess an exceptional professional network, strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset. A collaborative approach, digital confidence, and enthusiasm for emerging technologies, including AI, are essential, as is the flexibility to travel across Opera’s jurisdictions when required.
