https://www.operalimited.com/ We are seeking a Senior Manager – Compliance to take responsibility for the prevention, detection and reporting of financial crime risks across Oak Jersey’s regulated and supervised client structures. You will deliver compliance services while holding Key Person roles, including Compliance Officer (CO), Money Laundering Compliance Officer (MLCO) and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), for a range of entities such as managed trust companies, money services businesses, funds and Jersey Private Funds.
The role requires acting as a primary contact with the Jersey Financial Services Commission, overseeing AML, CFT, CPF and sanctions frameworks, and ensuring alignment with Jersey’s regulatory laws and codes. You will provide expert advice to stakeholders, coordinate compliance programmes and deliver independent oversight, including constructive challenge to Boards and senior management, with timely escalation of risks or breaches. Where multiple Key Person roles are held, you will ensure clear segregation of duties and appropriate management of conflicts.
Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years’ compliance experience within fiduciary or funds environments, a strong understanding of Jersey’s regulatory framework and AML/CFT regime, and ideally hold or be working towards a recognised qualification such as ICA. Experience in Key Person roles, managing regulatory relationships and operating across multiple entity types is essential, along with strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
