As a Venues staff member, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the Students’ Union venue and helping to create a welcoming, enjoyable, and safe environment for students and customers.

Working closely with the Venues Team, you will provide day-to-day operational support to help ensure the venue is delivered to a high standard, enhance the student experience, drive engagement, and contribute to venue sales and commercial success.

You will collaborate with colleagues across the Students’ Union to support the delivery of a welcoming and inclusive venue environment, while helping to meet the needs of a broad student community and maintain a positive customer experience.

The role also involves serving drinks, preparing food and refreshments, handling customer orders and payments, and helping to maintain excellent customer service standards at all times. You will support the smooth day-to-day operation of the venue by ensuring service areas are clean, well-stocked, and presented to a high standard, while working safely and efficiently during busy periods.

You will work in line with Students’ Union policies and procedures, maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and presentation, and provide support across venue activities and events to contribute to the ongoing success of the venue.
