We are now seeking a Building & Maintenance Surveyor to join our Property Team, playing a key role in maintaining and enhancing our diverse property portfolio.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is a varied and rewarding position where you will:
- Conduct building surveys and inspections to assess condition and identify defects
- Provide expert advice to Asset and Facilities Managers on the maintenance of both commercial and residential properties
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of buildings
- Carry out routine inspections and develop planned maintenance and asset improvement programmes, including sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives
- Specify, procure, and manage maintenance and refurbishment projects from inception to completion
- Procure and manage term maintenance contracts, supporting the performance management of contractors and service providers
ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable professional who brings:
- A degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Chartered status with RICS (or working towards accreditation)
- Proven experience in building surveying, maintenance, project management, or a similar field
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, compliance, planning, construction processes, health & safety, and contract administration
- Proficiency with survey software and industry tools
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and effectively
- Full UK driving license
