JOB SUMMARY
The Trainee Accountant will support the accounting function in delivering high-quality financial reporting and operational outputs across a diverse portfolio of entities, including venture capital funds and associated structures.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   
Core Accounting & Bookkeeping Support: 
  • Perform monthly bookkeeping and transaction processing across multiple entities 
  • Maintain general ledgers, including posting journals, accruals and adjustments 
  • Complete bank and cash reconciliations and investigate variances 

Management Accounts & Reporting: 
  • Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts 
  • Support production of trial balances and supporting schedules 
  • Contribute to quarterly and annual financial reporting 

Audit & Compliance Support: 
  • Assist with audit preparation and respond to audit queries 
  • Support delivery of annual audit requirements 

Tax & Regulatory Support: 
  • Provide information to support tax reporting and return preparation 

Fund & Operational Activities: 
  • Assist with capital account schedules and distribution calculations 
  • Work closely with administration teams to ensure accurate records 

Client Service & Team Support: 
  • Respond to client and internal queries in a timely manner 
  • Build effective working relationships 

Development & Training: 
  • Study towards a professional qualification and complete training
