Lincoln City FC is an ambitious, community-driven football club with a proud heritage and a clear vision for growth on and off the pitch. We are seeking a well-organised and pro-active Digital Executive to support the commercial, marketing, ticketing and retail departments.

The Digital Executive will support the day-to-day delivery of Lincoln City FC's digital activity, helping to create engaging supporter experiences and support commercial objectives through effective digital communications, content management and e-commerce activity.

The role will be responsible for delivering supporter email communications, assisting with the maintenance of the club website and online shop, supporting fan engagement initiatives and helping to drive digital performance across the club's key channels. Working closely with departments across the organisation, the Digital Executive will help ensure a consistent, high-quality digital presence that supports supporter engagement, commercial growth and the club's wider strategic objectives.

This role is suitable for a recent graduate or someone in the early stages of a career in digital marketing, communications, content or e-commerce.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Communications
  • Support the delivery of supporter email communications, taking day-to-day responsibility for building and scheduling campaigns
  • Build, schedule and distribute ticketing, membership, retail, commercial and fan engagement communications
  • Manage email communication calendars and campaign schedules
  • Ensure campaigns are tested for accuracy, formatting and deliverability
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reporting on engagement metrics
  • Support audience segmentation and targeting to improve campaign effectiveness

Website, App & Digital Content
  • Support the day-to-day maintenance and administration of the club website and mobile app
  • Upload and publish content across digital platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency and quality
  • Assist with the creation and updating of landing pages, promotional content and supporter-facing digital assets
  • Support matchday, commercial, retail and community content requirements
  • Monitor website and app functionality and user experience, escalating issues where required
  • Assist with testing and implementation of new digital features and platform enhancements

E-commerce & Online Retail
  • Support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the club's online shop
  • Update product listings, descriptions, imagery and promotional content
  • Assist with the delivery of e-commerce campaigns across email, website and digital channels
  • Work closely with the retail team to support product launches, seasonal campaigns and commercial initiatives
  • Monitor online retail performance and assist with reporting and analysis
  • Help identify opportunities to improve the online customer journey and supporter experience

Fan Engagement & Imps Territory
  • Support the delivery and promotion of the club's Imps Territory programme
  • Assist with supporter engagement initiatives designed to increase participation, loyalty and retention
  • Deliver digital communications and content supporting fan engagement activities
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to maximise engagement opportunities across supporter touchpoints

Data & Reporting
  • Produce regular reports on website, email, app and e-commerce performance
  • Support audience management, segmentation and digital database administration where required
  • Assist with maintaining accurate supporter records and consent preferences
  • Support GDPR compliance and data protection best practice across digital activities

Matchday & Business Support
  • Support matchday digital activity and supporter communications
  • Assist with membership administration and supporter engagement initiatives
  • Liaise with ticketing, retail, commercial, marcomms and club services teams to support digital delivery
  • Support the delivery of wider digital projects and initiatives as required

Learning & Development
  • Develop skills across digital marketing, communications, content management, e-commerce and analytics
  • Contribute ideas to improve supporter experience, engagement and digital performance
  • Participate in relevant training, development opportunities and internal projects

Person Specification
Essential
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Comfortable working with digital systems, content management platforms and spreadsheets
  • Good written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Enthusiastic, reliable and eager to learn
  • Interest in digital marketing, communications and sport

Desirable
  • Experience using website content management systems
  • Experience with email marketing or CRM platforms
  • Basic understanding of digital analytics and reporting tools
  • Understanding of GDPR and data protection principles
  • Experience in administrative or marketing roles
  • Knowledge of football or the wider sports industry

  • Timely and accurate delivery of supporter email communications and campaigns
  • High standards of website, app and online shop content maintenance
  • Growth in engagement across email, website and app channels
  • Effective support of e-commerce campaigns and online retail activity
  • Successful delivery of communications supporting the Imps Territory programme and fan engagement initiatives
  • High standards of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail
  • Positive feedback from supporters and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting the Digital and Marcomms teams in achieving agreed departmental KPIs
