Job Description: Senior Contracts Manager – Site
Location: Head Office, Units 1-6, Old Station, Higham, Bury St Edmunds
Reporting to: Senior Field Operations Manager

Job Role
The Senior Site Manager is responsible for the operational leadership, coordination and management of larger-scale or geographically dispersed projects across multiple delivery disciplines.
The role will oversee field-based delivery activities across insulation, electrical, ventilation, solar and remediation programmes while working closely with the Senior Contracts Manager – Insulation and Senior Contracts Manager – Electrical Installations to ensure technical standards, programme objectives and operational requirements are achieved.
The successful candidate will lead site-based operational teams including Contracts Managers, Supervisors and subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, efficiently and in line with contractual obligations, programme KPIs and client expectations.
This is a senior operational field management role with strong emphasis on:

Key Responsibilities
Operational Site Leadership
- Lead and manage operational delivery across larger or geographically dispersed projects
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary field delivery teams across insulation, electrical and remediation activities
- Provide leadership and direction to Contracts Managers, Supervisors and field teams
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with programme objectives
- Support operational mobilisation and programme planning activities
- Maintain strong operational control and oversight across live workstreams
Project & Programme Delivery
- Oversee site-based delivery activities across multiple contracts and operational teams
- Monitor project progress against programme timelines, KPIs and contractual obligations
- Ensure operational resources are effectively coordinated across projects
- Support resolution of operational issues, escalations and delivery risks
- Maintain effective communication between operational, technical and commercial teams
- Ensure field delivery standards and operational expectations are consistently maintained
Site Management, RAMS & CDM Compliance
- Ensure projects are delivered in compliance with CDM Regulations, company procedures and client requirements
- Review and maintain site-specific RAMS and operational control documentation
- Ensure appropriate site controls, permits and safety procedures are implemented and maintained
- Support management of temporary works and higher-risk site activities where applicable
- Promote strong site discipline and proactive health & safety standards across all operational activities
- Ensure site inspections, audits and compliance checks are completed effectively
Team Management & Workforce Coordination
- Lead and support Contracts Managers and Supervisors across field operations
- Coordinate operational labour and subcontractor activities across projects
- Support development of operational capability and workforce performance
- Promote operational consistency, accountability and communication across field teams
- Support onboarding and integration of new operational personnel where required
- Work collaboratively with Senior Contracts Managers to ensure technical and operational alignment
Quality Assurance & Operational Standards
- Monitor installation quality and operational standards across projects
- Ensure defects, non-conformances and operational issues are identified and resolved effectively
- Support implementation of right-first-time delivery standards
- Ensure operational records, inspections and site documentation are maintained accurately
- Support quality assurance and operational audit activities
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a senior operational contact for site-based delivery activities
- Attend client meetings, operational reviews and programme discussions
- Support management of operational escalations and customer issues
- Build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and operational partners
- Provide operational reporting and updates to senior leadership

- Strong operational and site management experience across construction, retrofit or property services projects
- Experience managing geographically dispersed or multi-disciplinary delivery programmes
- Strong understanding of site management, operational governance and health & safety compliance
- Experience managing operational teams and subcontractors
- Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and operational priorities simultaneously
- Commercial awareness and understanding of operational delivery performance

Schedule
Senior Contracts Manager – Site will be based at the Aran Insulation Head office, in Higham and will work normal office hours Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, however on occasions it will be required to work outside these hours and away from the head office. Staff are required to attend occasional training courses, conferences and meetings that may necessitate staying away from home overnight.
