Location: Head Office, Units 1-6, Old Station, Higham, Bury St Edmunds

Reporting to: Senior Installations Operations Manager

Direct Reports: Project Co-Ordinators

Job Role

The Project Manager will take operational responsibility for the successful delivery of private sector homes works including the delivery of the Warm Homes Local Grant (WHLG) contracts across a range of funded and private sector delivery models. The role will manage Project Coordination staff efficiently and work delivering in line with programme KPIs, contractual obligations and client expectations, maintaining client relationships and ensuring projects are delivered compliantly, efficiently and to a high standard. This is a fast-paced operational management role requiring strong leadership, organisation and communication skills. The successful candidate will drive team performance, manage operational challenges proactively and ensure customer and client expectations are consistently achieved.

 Key Responsibilities

Operational Delivery
 
  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of private Sector and WHLG contracts
  • Coordinate delivery across direct labour teams, subcontractors and delivery partners
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with contractual requirements
  • Monitor programme delivery against KPIs, SLAs and operational targets
  • Support mobilisation and implementation of new schemes and delivery models
  • Identify delivery risks and implement corrective actions where required
  • Ensure operational resources are planned effectively to meet programme requirements
  • Support delivery performance across both managed and direct delivery contracts
 
Team Management & Leadership

  • Lead, manage and support Project Co-Ordinators.
  • Set clear expectations, objectives and performance targetsConduct regular performance reviews and support staff development
  • Promote a professional, accountable and delivery-focused culture
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members
  • Ensure operational teams remain organised, responsive and customer focused
 
KPI & Performance Management
 
  • Monitor and report on programme KPIs including installation volumes, customer satisfaction, SLA compliance, programme milestones, contractor productivity, conversion and completion rates and quality performance
  • Produce operational reports for senior management and clients
  • Drive operational improvements and process efficiencies
  • Support continuous improvement across all delivery activities
 
Client & Stakeholder Management
 
  • Act as a key operational contact for clients, Local Authorities, and delivery partners
  • Attend operational and client meetings providing updates on delivery performance
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders
  • Manage operational escalations and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
  • Ensure customer and client satisfaction remains a priority across all projects
  • Work collaboratively with technical, commercial and compliance teams
 
Compliance & Quality
 
  • Ensure delivery aligns with programme requirements, health & safety standards and company procedures
  • Support quality assurance and compliance performance across schemes
  • Maintain accurate operational records and reporting
  • Promote operational consistency and best practice across all delivery streams

  • Experience Managing Programs with Local Authorities
  • Experience of delivering works in a regulated environment

Desirable
  • Retrofit, construction or property services experience
  • Knowledge of PAS 2030/2035

Schedule

The Project Manager – Private Sector Homes will be based at the Aran Insulation Head office, in Higham and will work normal office hours Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, however on occasions it will be required to work outside these hours and away from the head office. Staff are required to attend occasional training courses, conferences and meetings that may necessitate staying away from home overnight.
