More about the opportunity
This is a varied role supporting multiple stages of a 2D animated TV series pipeline. Working closely with the Animation Director, Assistant Director and Production, you'll assist with layout, identify animation reuse, and help keep shots updating smoothly between editorial and animation. Additional day-to-day responsibilities include updating databases and handling ad hoc tasks across merchandising, editorial, and production as needed.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the start of their animation career who is organised, proactive, and keen to learn from some of the best in the industry.
What you’ll be doing
- Working to the Directors’ brief to select and lay out reuse for episodes
- Updating the shot pipeline to incorporate changes from editorial
- Retiming animation to match updated edits
- Replacing final sound and importing new FLV in animation files
- Costume changes and redressing characters
- Tagging and searching animation
- Design tweaks as directed by the merchandising team.
- Keeping our Design Bible and online databases updated with all new characters, sets and props in Shotgrid
- Assisting the Senior Editor with chopping up Voice Over lines in Premiere
- Helping with various tasks on live action and puppet shoots when necessary
- Animation Training under the supervision of the Animation Director
Does this sound like you?
- Organised and detail-orientated with a habit of checking your own work before submitting for review
- Good working knowledge of Animate, specifically use of symbols and nested timelines
- Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Premiere
- Aptitude for character animation; good sense of comic timing and keen sense of observation of movement and behaviour
- Ability to adhere to existing styles and brand guidelines
- A strong communicator, both verbal and in writing
- A team player who can stay on top of day-to-day responsibilities independently
- Proactive and positive, with a genuine enthusiasm for the craft and a willingness to receive and act on feedback

Key Details
- Start Date: ASAP (initial contract to the end of 2026 with potential to extend further)
- Location: Clerkenwell, London (Hybrid working – minimum 3 days per week in the studio)
