Purpose
| To support and carry the vision and values of Riverside Vineyard Church through the provision of an effective Facilities Management service and a safe & welcoming environment to staff, church members, users of the church centre and visitors.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. MANAGEMENT
- Responsible for ensuring the smooth running of day to day activities of the Riverside Vineyard Church Centre.
- Resolve issues quickly and effectively and maintain a safe and pleasant environment for Riverside staff and visitors.
- Establish standardised processes and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and meeting industry 'best practice'.
- To ensure that all statutory records are held and updated as required under Facilities Management.
- Responsible for maintaining high environmental standards and helping Riverside Vineyard to have more sustainable practices.
- Responsibility to ensure that health and safety standards and systems are maintained for the buildings and contract work.
- Manage and oversee the practical implementation of Riverside Vineyard's Policy on Display Screen Equipment, including the training of new starters and DSE Workstation Assessments.
- Management of all building and maintenance work.
- Responsible for the team administration and any minor building remodel and construction projects, including all phases from planning and project construction.
- Responsible for any space management moves and changes.
- Undertake on call out of hours security arrangements day or night as required.
- As required, assist in the locking and unlocking of the building.
- Update the Facilities management system recording all contracts, dates and completed works.
- Manage the calendar system for the maintenance of the building assets.
2. TECHNICAL
- As the Competent Person, advise and guide colleagues on practical solutions relating to health and safety (so far as is reasonably practicable) where necessary or in the case of an absolute duty, the letter of the law.
- Plan work and maintenance schedules for the team, determining equipment and materials needed; establishing work procedures.
- Management of the planned maintenance system.
- Prepare and present reports, audits and studies as required.
- Oversee and maintain security arrangements, including alarm systems, Fire systems, CCTV camera systems and key holders throughout all of the church’s premises.
- Responsible for the development, maintenance and upgrade of the building and technical services.
- Responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing the health and safety management system, including regular reviews of relevant Riverside Vineyard policies.
3. FINANCIAL
- Be commercially aware and have a sound knowledge of cost controls and daily financial planning and Implementation of cost saving opportunities to achieve budget targets
- Hold responsibility for the processing of all invoices and liaison with Finance.
4. PEOPLE
- Develop relationships with Contractors and Suppliers, to align with Riverside Vineyard operational specific goals.
- Carry out staff annual performance objective reviews for Facilities Staff.
- To champion good practice in health, safety and wellbeing, collaborating and communicating with colleagues in line with Riverside Vineyard’s policies.
- Deliver Health and Safety Induction sessions for all new starters.
- Plan work schedules for the team, determining equipment and materials needed; establishing work procedures.
