Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Beyond the Streets for the Door of Hope project in Tower Hamlets.  The information you provide will be treated with the strictest confidence and will only be seen by members of the team involved in the appointment and supervision of volunteers. 

1.      We ask for a commitment of 1 shift per month with 1 back up shift per month.  The Thursday session is 2 hours early morning and Friday is 2.5 hours late evening, plus travel time and 15 minutes preparation time before heading out. Please ensure that you can commit to this before applying.  (You will be asked in advance about your availability for the outreach rota).  

2.      There is a minimum requirement of attending ALL ongoing Training over the year. We meet 4-5 times a year for 2.5 hours in the evening. We make it as interactive and fun/informative as possible, even when we are talking about Safeguarding! The training is aimed at equipping and supporting you in the volunteering role and it is essential that you attend.

3.      We welcome applications from women with ‘lived experience’ (Domestic/Sexual violence/Sexual exploitation) please make us aware of this so we can support this process.
