As a Trainee Financial Planner you will follow a structured training and development plan designed to support your transition into competent Financial Planner. This program will equip you with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to work directly with clients – guiding them towards their financial goals. By the end of the program, you'll be positioned to provide independent, tailored advice and recommendations that empowers clients to achieve their aspirations and financial security.

 Key Responsibilities:
- Qualifying new leads that are received by the business through various sources. 
- Shadowing Ongoing Strategy Meetings, First Meetings/Discovery and Presentations.
- Dealing with day-to-day administration and handling follow-up tasks such as ensuring client files including Fact Find, Adviser meeting notes and associated documents are fully and comprehensively complete.
- Providing a holistic financial planning advice to clients in a supervised environment.
- Working collaboratively with support staff to ensure work in progress is completed within the specified timescales and is wholly accurate, guaranteeing clients always receive a high standard of advice and care.
- Assist and present company focus group seminars, providing technical expertise as required.
- Ensuring processes and workflows are followed in line with IFP standards.
- Maintaining your daily task organiser, planning your workload, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Delivering an efficient, friendly, and professional service for all clients, providers, professional partners, and visitors.
- Looking for new business opportunities to enhance your own and IFP’s client base. This will include working with external professional partners, encouraging client referrals and networking to raise IFP’s brand awareness. 
- Working in line with IFP’s CPD scheme and T&C scheme and ensuring your annual Statement of Professional Standing is up to date. 
- Adhere to the cross-cutting rules and act in the spirit of the Consumer Duty to support the achievement of good Client Outcomes.

Skills & Experience Required:
- Achieved CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning
-  Working towards/Achieved CII Level 6 Chartered Financial Planner, must include CII AF5 qualification (essential)
- 2 year experience in Paraplanning
- Full completion of the Financial Planner training programme (24-month period)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 programmes and, desirably, Intelligent Office.
- Excellent organisation skills, with an ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good grasp of English language and Mathematical concepts.
- Takes personal responsibility for consistently delivering high quality work with an excellent level of attention to detail.

The starting salary for this role is £37,000 (£20.33/hr).

The salary scale is £37,000 (£20.33/hr) to £43,000 (£23.63/hr) per annum, depending on experience and qualification progress towards Chartered status.
