Duties & responsibilities
- To aid the inclusion of disabled children and young people in activities alongside their non-disabled peers.
- To adhere to Parasol’s Policies & Procedures & take part in relevant training courses.
- To work with and support named disabled children and young people on a one to one or small group basis within Services run by Parasol or other organisations Parasol is working in partnership with.
- To observe confidentiality in your work for Parasol.
- To work as part of a team, to attend session briefs/debriefs & weekly team meetings and appraisals when instructed.
- To undertake petty cash transactions when instructed.
- To adhere to the rules and procedures in the various settings in which Parasol works. To be responsible for the safe keeping of any Parasol equipment used.

- Leadership and motivational ability.
- Previous experience in working with children.
- First Aid qualification.
- DBS registered for update service.
- Safeguarding qualification/training.
- Lifting & Handling qualification/training.
- Play work qualification/training.
- Disability Equality qualification/training.
- Food Hygiene qualification/training.
Holiday work:
Child Playscheme: school holidays - 9.30am to 4pm
Teen activities: school holidays - 9.30am to 4pm
