To lead and deliver a high-performance food provision that supports player preparation, recovery and long-term physical development of Lincoln City Football Club's first team.
This is a hands-on lead role, responsible for delivering performance catering aligned to the club’s nutrition strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with the Performance Nutrition Team and Sport Science and Medical staff, while taking ownership of day-to-day kitchen operations to ensure consistent, high-quality, performance-driven food provision.
Roles & responsibilities
- Oversee the ordering, preparation and cooking of all food and beverages at Lincoln City Football Club Elite Performance Centre
- Develop menus and recipes to a high standard in collaboration with the club’s nutritionists
- Provide catering to first team staff and players during away travel
- Travel to away fixtures liaising with hotel chefs to ensure food is provided at a high standard
- Oversee post-match meals at home games
- Source produce from local companies/sponsors in collaboration with the Head of Football Operations
- Manage food budgets alongside the Head of Football Operations
- Provide first team players with cooking lessons at regular intervals
- Minimise food waste and implement efficient ways to maximise budgets
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout the kitchen and canteen
- Ensure food temperature readings are taken and recorded on a daily basis

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
- Professional chef qualification (Level 3 or equivalent)
- Experience working in a high-quality, fast-paced kitchen environment, managing high-volume service (circa 50 covers per service for staff and players)
- Strong understanding of nutrition and fuelling for performance
- Ability to work independently and manage a full kitchen operation
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours
Desirable
- Experience in elite or professional sport
- Experience delivering food provision in matchday or travel environments
- Experience collaborating with performance staff
- Food hygiene Level 3/HACCP certification
