What are we looking for?
We are looking to appoint a Site Receptionist on a fixed-term contract to assist in the planning and delivery of RIAT 26,
Your main responsibilities will include:
- To act as first point of contact for the suppliers & contractors of goodsand services arriving at RIAT26 via Gate G (contractors gate) and itssupporting security arrangements on Bay 29 (Site Reception location)
- Co-ordinate and administer the issue of personal andwhere applicable vehicle passes, per the prepopulatedAllow Me database
- Contacting and where appropriate acting on behalf of theDBH permanent staff with respect to pass queries andanomalies
- Deliver the relevant Site Induction. This may include:
- giving a PowerPoint Presentation
showing a film
giving directions to a specific location
arranging a motorcycle escort
communicate effectively at all levels
encouraging an environment of open communication and the building of cross functional relationships
Type of contract/working hours:
FTC 08/06/2026 until /08/2026
36.25 hours per week. Based in Fairford, Gloucestershire
All employees are required to work the Saturday or Sunday before the Royal International Air Tattoo and the whole weekend of the event.

About you:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual with at least five GCSEs (or national equivalent) and a full UK driving licence to join our team. The successful candidate will be IT literate, with confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. You’ll be comfortable working as part of a team, able to prioritise tasks effectively, and confident in public speaking to deliver site inductions. A strong commitment to safety is essential, alongside a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Previous knowledge or experience of RIAT would be an advantage, but not essential.
