Justice & Care is an award-winning anti-slavery charity working with governments and police forces across two strategic locations the UK and Bangladesh. Through frontline programmes, policy advocacy and strategic partnerships, we work on the frontline to support survivors of modern slavery and bring perpetrators to justice, and in the corridors of power to create change at scale.
About the role
This role is central to supporting HR operations, coordinating volunteers and work experience students, and facilitating our H.E.A.R.T panel ensuring the voices of people with lived experience inform our services, policies, and decisions.
Who this role is ideal for
This role is ideal for someone with experience in HR, volunteer coordination, panel/focus group facilitation or with transferable skills, who wants to make a meaningful difference while developing their own experience.
You are a hands-on professional who can effectively manage multiple priorities. You are committed to ethical practice, with a strong understanding of trauma-informed and survivor-centred approaches. You also have sound knowledge of safeguarding, GDPR requirements, and principles of inclusive engagement.
What you’ll do
- Support the full employee and volunteer lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, record-keeping, reporting and offboarding
- Coordinate and host work experience placements and experience days throughout the year
- Lead onboarding and ongoing support for H.E.A.R.T panel members, creating a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed environment
- Plan and facilitate H.E.A.R.T panel meetings, workshops, and consultations, capturing insights to inform organisational decisions
- Support staff training, development, internal communications, and engagement initiatives
