Cambridge United Women are entering a defining phase. With new investment from ownership and a move to Cambridge University’s Grange Road Stadium next season, which is the first time in the club’s history that the women’s team will play all their home games in Cambridge, we have a unique opportunity to build something distinctive and sustainable in the women’s game.
To support higher standards, faster delivery, and professionalisation on and off the pitch, we are restructuring our board and recruiting two new members with expertise that will strengthen governance and help shape the club’s next stage of growth.
These are hands-on governance roles for people who want to make a meaningful impact on women’s sport in Cambridge at a pivotal moment. The Women’s board meets every other month, with sub-boards meeting monthly to focus on operations and football technical matters.
If this is something that excites you, we would love to hear from you.
What we offer:
· An opportunity to shape CUWFC at a moment of change
· Access to senior leadership and decision-making
· A professional governance environment with clear expectations and accountability
· The chance to contribute to the growth of the women’s game in a visible and meaningful way
Time commitment and expectations: In addition to board and sub-board meetings, board members are expected to attend home fixtures on a regular basis, approximately once a month (around every other home game), to remain connected to the matchday environment, players, staff, and supporters.
These are non-executive, unpaid roles
