Supporting over 2,500 individuals across Surrey, we offer a diverse range of services for all ages and abilities.
Our wonderful site in Chertsey houses three specialist buildings, each with great facilities and services. These include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, a specialist nursery, hydrotherapy, holiday clubs, personal support in the home, short breaks, fitness and rehabilitation. We also offer many activities such as trips out, art, baking, swimming, and much more!
We are now looking for a part-time Adult Activities Assistant to join us on a permanent basis for 22 hours per week between 10.30 am and 4pm. We also have weekend shifts available.

The Role
As a Day Activities Assistant, you’ll provide a fun, engaging and high-quality activity service for adults with a variety of disabilities.
Building relationships with the adults you work with, you’ll support them to take part in a wide range of activities and help them to build confidence, develop new skills, and enjoy fulfilling experiences that enhance their wellbeing and independence.
From providing personal care and medication to assisting with therapy-based exercises and running activity sessions, you’ll help maintain comfort, safety, and dignity at all times. Full training will be given.
Additionally, you will:
- Support and train volunteers
- Work with therapists and other professionals to meet service users’ individual needs
- Maintain accurate records and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed
About You
To be considered as a Activities Assistant, you will need:
- Experience working with adults with disabilities or in a similar care setting
- Knowledge of safeguarding and basic health and safety procedures
- Good communication skills
- A good level of IT literacy
- A full, valid driving licence
All staff are required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check. Please make it known if you are on the DBS update service. Training is provided.
