At Bookmark, our vision is simple yet powerful: we want every child to read. We believe in the transformative power of reading and the impact it has on children’s futures. Our flagship service is a volunteer-led reading programme; volunteers will read with students for two thirty-minute sessions weekly. We currently support over 150 schools with a volunteer network of around 1,500 volunteers delivering over 40,000 reading sessions every year. Volunteers are the heart of our mission, helping us deliver our One-to-One Reading Programme. 

 The Role


As a Delivery Support Executive, you’ll play a key role in supporting our school partners and volunteers to ensure smooth operations and impactful outcomes for children. This is a busy and varied role, involving administrative tasks, relationship management with schools, and assisting teams in delivering excellent service. Whether managing school applications, monitoring sessions, or coordinating termly feedback, you’ll help ensure our processes run seamlessly and effectively contribute to our mission of helping children thrive.

 

Job Description


  • Provide vital administrative support to the Schools and Volunteers Teams by managing a busy inbox, resolving volunteer queries, and ensuring smooth coordination for the seamless delivery of programmess and operations.
  • Coordinate termly and ad-hoc tasks, such as collecting feedback, updating reports, and supporting reading data analysis to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage the recruitment pipeline for high volumes of volunteer applicants, ensuring all processes meet regulatory compliance requirements and uphold high standards of applicant quality.
  • Lead volunteer interviews in alignment with Safer Recruitment standards, building rapport, assessing suitability, and understanding volunteer motivations to ensure a positive and compliant onboarding experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement by analysing feedback, refining processes, and enhancing the volunteer experience. 
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure our volunteers are equipped to help children succeed. 
  • Contribute to enhancing the experience of both schools and volunteers by monitoring sessions, maintaining resources, and assisting with targeted administrative projects.
  • Support safeguarding processes by overseeing the moderation of recordings and ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and best practices.
 

Person Specification 


We’re seeking someone who is: 

  • A natural communicator: Clear, confident, and empathetic in both verbal and written communication. 
  • Organised and proactive: Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Detail-oriented: A structured thinker with exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Results-driven: Motivated to meet personal and team goals. 
  • Adaptable: Flexible and curious with a positive, professional attitude. 
  • Data-savvy: Comfortable working with systems like Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and analysing data to inform decisions. 

 

 Bonus Points: 


  • Experience with Salesforce or SharePoint. 
  • Familiarity with safeguarding practices. 
  • Background in high-volume customer service, recruitment, or call centres.
