The Senior Marketing Executive will take ownership of marketing delivery for a portfolio of our franchise partners, acting as the primary marketing lead for those brands. This role is responsible for the end-to-end marketing planning, marketing activity, enquiry volume performance, ROI measurement, and budget tracking, ensuring marketing activity is commercially focused and aligned to business objectives. 

In addition, the Senior Marketing Executive will act as a supportive peer and mentor to our Marketing Executives, helping to raise standards, share best practices, and improve consistency across the marketing team. 

Key Responsibilities

Franchise Partner Management 
·         Act as the main marketing point of contact for assigned franchise partners

·         Build strong, credible relationships with internal/external stakeholders and franchise representatives

·         Translate franchise objectives into clear, actionable marketing plans that drive enquiry and revenue

·         Ensure all activity aligns with brand standards and franchise requirements. 

Marketing Planning & Delivery 
·         Lead the creation and execution of quarterly marketing plans for assigned franchise partners

·         In conjunction with our agency partners, manage multi-channel campaigns including digital, social, CRM, SEO, and offline activity where appropriate

·         Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on brand, and to agreed objectives

·         Ensure all marketing activity meets both FCA and ASA standards

·         Proactively update website offers, model pages and dealership pages with rich content for allocated franchise partners

·         Identify opportunities to improve performance and test new approaches

·         Take ownership of enquiry volume targets for assigned franchises

·         Monitor and analyse campaign performance, reporting on leads, cost per enquiry, conversion trends, and ROI

·         Use data and insight to optimise campaigns and inform future planning

·         Confidently explain results and performance to stakeholders, including challenges and recommendations

·         Regularly run competitive analysis. 

Budget Management 
·         Manage and track marketing budgets for assigned franchise partners

·         Ensure spend is controlled, accurately forecasted, and aligned to performance

·         Provide clear visibility of budget usage, ROI, and future investment requirements

·         Actively optimise campaign spend to reduce cost per lead (CPL) and cost per sale (CPS) while maintaining or improving enquiry quality

·         Support budget reconciliation and reporting processes. 

Organic Social & Group Event Support 
·         Support the planning and delivery of organic social media activity

·         Work collaboratively with the wider marketing team to ensure organic social content supports campaign objectives, enquiry generation, and brand awareness

·         Review organic social performance and share insight and recommendations to support continuous improvement

·         Support the planning and delivery of group-level events, including sales events, plate-change activity, product launches, brand activations and partner events

·         Provide marketing support for events, including pre-event promotion, asset creation, on-the-day marketing activity, and post-event performance review. 

Team Support & Peer Leadership 
·         Act as a peer and day-to-day support for our team of Marketing Executives

·         Share best practices, templates, and learning to improve team capability and consistency

·         Provide informal mentoring and guidance, helping team members problem-solve and prioritise

·         Support the Head of Marketing / Group Marketing Manager with team standards, processes, and ways of working.

Skills & Experience 

Essential:
·         Proven experience in a marketing executive or senior marketing role

·         Strong experience managing end-to-end marketing campaigns and plans

·         Commercial mindset with demonstrable experience managing enquiry volume and ROI

·         Experience managing and tracking marketing budgets

·         Confident stakeholder management and communication skills

·         Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and performance metrics

·         Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.    

Desirable:
·         Experience working with franchise partners or multi-brand environments

·         Automotive retail experience 

·         Experience supporting or mentoring team members

·         CIM Level 4 qualification or above.
