To support the development and sustainability of identity-based student communities at Lancashire Students' Union that represent and empower underrepresented and marginalised groups. This includes working with recognised communities aligned with the Equality Act as well as affiliated advocacy societies.
The role plays a key part in Lancashire SU’s inclusion and equity strategy by enabling peer-led campaigning, awareness-building, and support networks. The role will provide training, funding advice, and practical support to student leaders, whilst championing inclusive practice and intersectional collaboration across the Students’ Union. It will also contribute to the growth of Lancashire SU’s wider student communities and strengthen partnerships between students, the SU, and academic staff.
