This post is restricted to female applicants only under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1, Paragraph 3. As a Rape Crisis Centre, our primary mission is to provide trauma-informed specialist services, which are accessed by approximately 90% female survivors.
The successful applicant will require unrestricted access and presence within our dedicated women-only spaces and may conduct sensitive one-to-one interviews with female service users for communication purposes.
Due to the nature of sexual violence trauma, and to maintain the privacy, decency, and psychological security of our female clients, the ability to access these sensitive environments and carry out these personal service functions requires the post-holder to be female. This is essential for the effective delivery of our welfare services.
