This role is front of house in The Hive Café, serving customers, cleaning, brewing hot drinks, processing payments and contributing to making The Hive a special place on campus.

- Contract Type: Zero hours (in accordance with the needs of the organisation and the individual staff member)
- Hours of Work: Up to 20 hours per week during term time (between Monday to Friday 7:30 – 17:00). Hours are also available outside of term time. Occasional requirement for work on weekends and evenings depending on the business requirements
- Hourly Rate of Pay: £12.21 (excluding holiday pay), £13.68 (including holiday pay)

Individual Responsibilities
- Welcoming customers and taking orders.
- Describing menu items, suggesting products to customers, and articulating the sustainability ethos of The Hive.
- Receiving and processing customer payments.
- Effectively communicating orders to co-workers.
- Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks to a high standard.
- Displaying and serving cakes and pastries.
- Cleaning and sanitising work areas, utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Assisting in the preparation and serving of our food menu.
- Cleaning service and seating areas.
- Receiving and distributing stock supplies.
