Summary
As the Mesma software platform progresses through an exciting phase of development, we’re looking for someone who can build and nurture relationships with our clients. In this role, you will help them to get the very best from Mesma and our full range of products and services. 

We’d particularly like to meet people with a background in the education or employment support sector. Examples of the experiences you could bring include...

  • Quality assurance and improvement professionals.
  • Any provider-based experience with a strong interest in quality improvement.
  • Business development or partnership management. 
  • Software account management within the education, skills or employment support sectors. 

If you have used Mesma software before, you’ll know the difference it can make, but there’s no requirement here. Whatever your background, this is likely to be a change in direction for you. The key thing we are searching for is the energy and enthusiasm that brings our technology and human based solutions together to champion our services and help our clients succeed.

You could be the first person our prospective clients speak to, and you will work with them through these initial phases and maintain a relationship with many of them over time. Your ability to identify their requirements within their context and present solutions as appropriate will be essential.
 
Main duties and responsibilities  
By focusing on strengthening relationships, you’ll identify clients' ambitions and help them to achieve them.

You’ll help current and prospective clients utilise Mesma and the broader SDN Mesma Group portfolio of products and services to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities  
Build and maintain positive relationships with prospective and current clients. Used insights to prioritise and strengthen customer experience.

  • Deliver the end-to-end sales cycle, including lead qualification, product demonstrations, proposal development and closing.  
  • Understand and communicate the value of Mesma software and the SDN Mesma Group advisory offer both online and at in-person events.  
  • Work closely with colleagues to respond promptly to inbound enquiries and proactively nurture new relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities using our CRM tools and follow agreed campaign timelines.  
  • Support client onboarding and ongoing enablement, ensuring a smooth transition from sale to service.  
  • Gather and share customer feedback to inform product development and enhance client success.  
  • Keep up to date with the education and employment support sectors, software trends, and developments in regulatory and quality management practices.  
  • Act as a trusted ambassador for SDN Mesma Group at events, webinars, and through online engagement.
 
Criteria for applicants
 
Essential:  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.  
  • Confidence in presenting ideas and solutions to different audiences.  
  • Proactive approach to learning and using new technologies, and enthusiasm for the role technology increasingly plays for clients.  
  • Organised, reliable, and able to manage your time across multiple priorities.  
  • Ability to travel to occasional trade events.  
  • At least a year of experience working in the UK’s further education, skills, or employability sectors.
  • At least a year of experience in building influential relationships with external stakeholders.
  • A ‘self-starter’ who can effectively manage working from home and is motivated to achieve targets and reach goals.
  • Can demonstrate a good balance of commercial, social and professional acumen.
 
Desirable:  
  • Experience in growing accounts with software or cloud-based tools.
  • Experience in a quality assurance and improvement role or special interest in quality.

Entry requirements  
  • GCSEs at grade 4 or above in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Experience and enthusiasm matter most in this role. If you can demonstrate your understanding of the sector and how we help, we’ll support you to grow into the role.
