Are you a strong communicator who sees the strengths and potential of people as opposed to the ‘barriers’ in the way and reasons not to do something? Do you make things happen whether that is organising an event or activity, setting up a group or course, perhaps getting involved in the community yourself? If so we would love to hear from you.

Family and Community Connectors play the crucial role in creating open access Children and Family Centres, promoted to local families, and organising a timetable of activities and services that people want. Every day you will be talking to local residents, families, and community partners. You will develop Neighbourhood Family Network groups to ensure that children and families have a voice in how our centres operate and how our funding is spent.
The hours advertised are full time, but we can be flexible to a minimum of four days per week or 30 hours over five days as you must have the time to build relationships in your communities. Our Children and Family Centres in the Forest of Dean are in Cinderford (Hilltop) and Lydney (River) but you will responsible for making connections across the Forest and working with all organisations who work within Neighbourhoods alongside children and families.
You will be led by a Community Manager and work closely with the Centre and Volunteer Coordinators to ensure the smooth operation of the centres while you build relationships with local people and stakeholders.
