Our Footprints is seeking a dynamic Finance Assistant that can bring a collaborative and can-do attitude to the role. We seek someone who can be pro-active as we enter an exciting phase within the business now being employee-owned and to build on our current provision to support a more sustainable future.

Rather than relying on centralised offices, our 40-strong team work remotely across the UK and internationally, operating without geographical limits. The ideal candidate will have a background in bookkeeping, finance and with working in or with an SME.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

  • Day-to-day management of company finances
  • Helping to develop efficient and effective processes
MAIN DUTIES:

  • Creating and issuing invoices, as well as tracking and following up any late payments with clients.
  • Processing of Purchase Orders and Purchase Invoices.
  • Managing the payment of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Processing of employee expenses.
  • Day-to-day reconciling of the bank accounts.
  • Support to the external accountant to produce End of Year accounts.
  • Manage the production of the payroll and its recording according to the relevant legislation and guidance.
  • Completion of VAT returns, Corporation tax and pensions to keep in line with the law.
  • Compliance with the rules and procedures set out in the Company Handbook, any associated workplace policies and the ISO:9001 Quality Management System.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Company Director

Essential:

Qualifications: A Level (any)

Competencies: Xero, FLOAT, Excel, proven ability to manage own workload, good communication skills, collaborative working.

Previous Experience: 2 years in a finance role.

Desirable:

Qualifications: Full or part accountancy qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or AAT.

Competencies: Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, CRM (CMap).

Previous Experience: Renewable industry, working remotely, working in an SME environment

LOCATION: Working from home 

CONTRACT: Permanent

25 hours per week

Monday – Friday

£25,000 to £30,000 pro rata
