Reporting to the Director of Operations, this is a senior specialist role combining consultancy delivery, development of CPD and resources, and programme management. You will act as a consultant and subject matter expert, contributing to both funded programmes and fee-earning consultancy services.

Your primary focus will be CPD design and consultancy assignments, working with employers and providers - particularly in building employer capability to support apprentices/learners in the workplace, provider curriculum design, quality, assessment and employer engagement. Part of this will be through supporting large, time limited programme management activities and supporting the development of high-quality content for our CPD, resources and wider programmes.

Specialist expertise in designing effective teaching, training and assessment, quality assurance, and continuous improvement would be helpful. We are particularly keen to hear from people with experience in the construction sector due to forthcoming projects. 

Initial Main Duties and Responsibilities

CPD design and delivery
  •  Oversee the design process for CPD and resources which helps managers/mentors to effectively support apprentices in the workplace (SMEs and larger employers) 
  • Direct involvement in developing, editing, quality assuring and facilitating live online CPD, online learning and resources for workplace managers/mentors 

Consultancy Delivery
  • Lead and contribute to consultancy assignments with further education and skills providers, employers and other organisations 
  • Provide specialist expertise on curriculum design, quality improvement and teaching, training and assessment practice.
  • Quality assure CPD, resources, assignments and training delivery.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and provide actionable insights and solutions through effective account management.

Wider programme contribution
  •  Support programme delivery across government-funded and sector projects, ensuring milestones, KPIs and quality standards are met.
  •  Provide subject matter input into T Level and apprenticeship programmes as required.

Wider contribution to content development
  •  Develop and deliver high-quality CPD, webinars, workshops and resources for both commercial events and funded programmes.
  • Write content tailored for employers and providers (leaders, trainers, assessors, sector professionals), ensuring clarity, relevance and impact.

Stakeholder engagement
  •  Engage with providers, employers, funders and partners to strengthen our consultancy and programme offer.
  •  Contribute to client relationship management and business development opportunities.

Person Specification - Attributes

Experience
·        Proven track record working with employers to support apprentices and learners in the workplace (Essential)
·        Proven track record working with apprenticeship and wider FE/skills providers – curriculum, quality and/or assessment (Essential)
·        Experience delivering consultancy or advisory services to providers/employers (Essential)
·        Experience in programme and/or project delivery within education and skills (Essential)
·        Content development for CPD, events and resources (Essential)
·        Direct experience as an Ofsted inspector (Desirable)
·        Sector specialism e.g. construction, assessment, quality assurance, SEND and inclusion (Desirable)

Skills
·        Strong consultancy, facilitation and relationship-building skills (Essential)
·        Excellent communication, writing and editing skills (Essential)
·        Ability to design and deliver engaging training/CPD sessions (Essential)
