The Role
We are looking for a proactive and skilled Multiskilled Engineer to support our site operations by maintaining plant machinery, equipment, and facilities. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth production processes, minimal downtime, and safe working conditions.
We are looking for a proactive and skilled Multiskilled Engineer to support our site operations by maintaining plant machinery, equipment, and facilities. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth production processes, minimal downtime, and safe working conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of machinery, site equipment, and building infrastructure.
- Support production by responding quickly to breakdowns and maintenance requests.
- Coordinate with contractors on-site and ensure compliance with permits and safety procedures.
- Maintain and improve the site’s Preventative Maintenance Programme.
- Complete maintenance logs, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with BRC and customer standards.
- Promote continuous improvement, 5S practices, and sustainable engineering solutions.
- Participate in a call-out rota and provide cover for the Engineering Manager when required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a similar maintenance/engineering role within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to support training, development, and improvement initiatives.
