Join Our Team as an Assessment Developer – Help Shape Purposeful and Inclusive Assessments

We’re excited to invite applications for the role of Assessment Developer within our Product team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the design and development of high-quality, inclusive assessments that reflect the diverse achievements of learners. 

As an Assessment Developer, you’ll play a key role in creating valid, reliable, and accessible assessments that meet regulatory standards and align with our product roadmap. Your work will help ensure that all learners have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in fair and meaningful ways.

What We’re Looking For

We’re particularly interested in candidates who bring:

  • Experience in assessment development or in roles involving educational assessment (e.g. examiner, teacher, assessor).
  • Experience with End-Point Assessment (EPA) for apprenticeships or ESOL assessments (desirable). 
  • Familiarity with different assessment methods and principles.
  • Experience with online assessment platforms and tools.
  • Knowledge of current developments in education and assessment.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Creativity and originality in approach.

At Gateway Qualifications you’ll be mainly based at home and will therefore need a reliable, high speed internet connection and a quiet, suitably furnished, place to work. You must be able to commute to our Colchester office as required.
