The role

· Reporting to CSA Design Director: Assist in civil, structural, and architectural due diligence activities, including supporting site assessments, design evaluations, and the process of obtaining approvals.

· Risk Assessment Support: Assist in assessing basic structural and environmental risks (e.g., flooding, seismic activity, ground stability) to inform site selection and infrastructure design.

· Design & Construction Assistance: Support the CSA design permitting processes, including gathering and organizing necessary documents for structural assessments, material compliance, and architectural approvals.

· Sustainability Integration: Contribute to incorporating sustainable design solutions into data center projects, including energy-efficient buildings, sustainable materials, and space optimization strategies.

· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure CSA designs are compliant with local and international codes and regulations. Assist in maintaining compliance throughout the design and construction phases.

· Design Audits & Compliance Checks: Support compliance audits of CSA designs during the design, construction, and operational phases to verify adherence to regulatory and internal standards.

· Stakeholder Collaboration: Assist internal teams, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities

by providing timely support in the approval and execution process.

· Consultant & Contractor Coordination: Help coordinate the implementation of CSA responsibilities across consultants, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring high standards in design and construction are met.

· Design Support & Optimization: Provide support for innovative design solutions, assisting in finding cost-effective methods to maintain the quality and reliability of civil, structural, and architectural systems.

· Project Assistance: Assist in the management of multiple CSA design projects, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and meet quality standards under the guidance of senior engineers.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

· 3+ years of experience in CSA design and construction, preferably with exposure to large-scale infrastructure projects such as data centers.

· Understanding of CSA design principles and regulations, including some experience with structural assessments, architectural design, and civil works.

· Familiarity with creating and reviewing technical design documents, such as drawings and specifications for structural and architectural elements.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support project goals.

Preferred Qualifications

· Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (optional).

· Experience or exposure to large-scale mechanical, electrical, and power systems integration (nice-to-have).

· Working towards Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) would be beneficial.

· Some experience or exposure to working with consultants and contractors, with a focus on ensuring adherence to design and construction standards.

· Knowledge of international building codes and construction practices.

· Familiarity with data center design and construction is a plus.

Location

Dublin. 20% travel across Europe.
