We are excited to introduce a newly created role at the Union of Students Data and Insight Coordinator, designed to support the delivery of our ambitious new strategy. This role will be central to enhancing how we gather, analyse, and act on student feedback and engagement data. MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
To coordinate data collection and insight reporting for the Union. To manage all survey activity for the Union. To lead on management of digital student voice and coordinate the paid student feedback pool initiative.
DUTIES:
· To coordinate the creation and distribution of all Union surveys.
· To collate insights from all surveys and produce detailed reports for the Union.
· To launch and manage the paid student feedback pool initiative.
· To analyse data for the Union, including Student Voice, marketing interactions, customer satisfaction and commercial trends.
· To lead on the collation and reporting of engagement data for the Union, including but not limited to: PAL, Student representatives, community members.
· To train Student Leaders in the use of data, insight, and the online feedback platform.
· To deliver training to Student Leaders in the use of data collection and feedback gathering.
· Provide regular communication to student groups regarding trends or key issues, e.g., newsletter, reports, campaign ideas.
· Provide data and analysis to the student voice team to use in regular Union reporting to the University (e.g. Real Time Issues, Union Trends Report).
· To help promote and develop online feedback mechanisms as a method for hearing and acting upon the student voice.
· To find new and creative ways to gather feedback from students.
· To support continual review of our digital student voice mechanisms.
· To support activities related to the National Student Survey.
· Ensure the database of Student Reps is accurate, providing a gap analysis for the Voice Coordinator to use to rectify programme gaps.
· To support the voice team in delivery of key events and activities throughout the year including induction, democratic meetings, freshers, rep conference, education awards etc.
· To manage the new digital feedback system.
· To support in the coordination of delivering Union induction sessions to support awareness of the Union’s services.
· To contribute to Union Membership projects that link with strategic targets.
· Work together to deliver the Union annual plan/strategy.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
· To develop effective relationships with all teams across the Organisation.
· To develop an effective working relationship with Voice Coordinators.
· To directly supervise relevant department student staff under the management of the Voice and Insight Manager.
· Work closely with the Executive Officers to assist them in feedback collation and insight reporting.
· Create positive and productive relationships with University staff e.g., Programme Leaders/ College Senior Leadership teams/ Centre for Quality and Assurance/ Student Experience Team.
GENERAL:
The principle role and responsibilities will change from time to time and the post holder is required to undertake any additional duties as deemed appropriate.

A condition of the employment is that all staff are expected to assist in key events throughout the year e.g. Welcome, Elections and any other key events if necessary.
