Overall purpose of job

This role will provide ecological expertise, advice, monitoring and support for three Bristol-based, community-led nature recovery projects as part of the Nature Together project led by Bristol City Council

Main responsibilities

·         To support three different communities to review existing plans for nature and identify gaps, building on existing projects across the city.

·         To facilitate community-led action by providing workshops, training, and guidance in practical habitat creation and care, species monitoring and needs, and nature-based solutions to climate change.

·         To develop skills, understanding and confidence within each community to continue to lead positive action for nature, using an equitable approach that is community-led.

To work in partnership with Bristol City Council, Your Park, Natural History Consortium and Natural England to share learning, trial new approaches and contribute to the wider communication, evaluation, mapping and dissemination of activities/plans of the Nature Together project.
