Working within the Secret Mode Creative team, you will be responsible for the ideation and creation of captivating and engaging marketing material. You are creating a window into a new world each with the aim of delighting and inspiring the Secret Mode audiences. The creative assets are an essential element used to support the go-to-market plans and the wider business needs for titles published by Secret Mode. 

Each game has its own unique requirements, these could include, design and creation of game branding, implementation onto online store pages, game merchandise and paid media ads. You’ll be expected to apply your creative flare to best represent the individual IP you’re working on, ensuring the assets align to the creative vision of the title.

Role Summary
 As a Graphic Designer, you will play a pivotal role within the Creative Team, supporting both the Secret Mode marketing team and the wider business needs, with the ideation and creation of various creative assets covering the lifecycle of a game, from initial brand direction to implementation with the creation of announce assets to seasonal promotional sales material.  
Working closely with the Head of Brand, Creative Project Manager and the Product Marketing Managers to understand the creative vision for each of our games, the specific creative request and then onto ideation and  creation of assets.  An essential prerequisite for the role is time management. Creative assets are a pivotal component used across the business to support marketing beats and opportunities, having assets created on time is essential to ensure smooth operations across a multitude of departments both internally and externally. 

Additionally, assets need to comply with appropriate specifications, including brand or licensing guidelines laid out in the initial creative brief, this will be key to avoiding last-minute changes.
  • With Head of Brand and Creative Project Manager, assess and understand each creative brief, requested of the Creative Team. 
  • Creation of creative assets can but not limited to the following types: 
    • The creation of game branding, including logo and key art 
    • Implementation and rollout of new branded assets across relevant online channels including store pages and websites
    • Online store page branded assets
    • Game Icons
    • Social media and community supporting assets
    • Secret Mode website assets
    • Digital and physical paid media adverts
    • Physical merchandise
    • Physical event banners, booth panels and other event assets
    • Secret Mode brand and brand assets 
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, the Head of Brand and Creative Project Manager to develop concepts for brand direction supporting new IP.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Brand and Creative Project Manager, to input into the briefing, reviewing and feedback on work undertaken by creative agencies and creative freelancers, ensuring the highest quality of work and representative of the Secret Mode brand and our published IP.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Brand and Creative Project Manager to provide advice on the correct use and implementation of Secret Mode brand assets and individual Secret Mode published titles brand assets or Licensed IP guidelines.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a graphic designer, UI designer, game artist or similar role.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud experience essential, specifically Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience working on licensed IP, is of benefit for understanding, and correct implementation of brand guidelines
  • Must have experience utilizing layered artwork to create new marketing assets.
  • Ideal experience in designing and creating logos and key art
  • Ideal experience creating online store page assets for PlayStation, Nintendo, Xbox, Steam, Epic and websites
  • Ideal experience creating paid ads
  • Experience creating social and other online public facing assets
  • Ideal experience in creating print ready assets such as event banners and merchandise. 
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a graphic designer or similar role
