Working within the Secret Mode Creative team, you will be responsible for the ideation and creation of captivating and engaging marketing material. More than just videos but engrossing visual stories with the aim to delight and inspire the Secret Mode audiences, sharing a tantalising opportunity of an experience yet to be had. Creative assets are an essential element used to support the go-to-market plans and the wider business needs for titles published by Secret Mode. 

Each game has its own unique requirements, these could include design and creation of video branding, implementation onto online store pages, game trailers and paid media ads. You’ll be expected to apply your creative skills to best represent the individual IP and medium you’re working on, ensuring the assets align to the creative vision of the title.

Role Summary
As a video editor, you will play a pivotal role within the Creative Team, supporting both the Secret Mode marketing team and the wider business needs, with the ideation and creation of various creative assets covering the lifecycle of a game, from initial brand direction to implementation with the creation of announce assets to seasonal promotional sales material. 

Working closely with the Head of Brand, Creative Project Manager and the Product Marketing Managers to understand the creative vision for each of our games, the specific creative request and then onto ideation and creation of specific assets.  An essential prerequisite for the role is time management.

Creative assets are a pivotal component used across the business to support marketing beats and opportunities, having assets created on time is essential to ensure smooth operations across a multitude of departments both internally and externally.  
Additionally, assets need to comply with appropriate specifications, including brand or licensing guidelines laid out in the initial creative brief, this will be key to avoiding last-minute changes. 

  • With Head of Brand and Creative Project Manager, assess and understand each creative brief requested of the Creative Team. 
  • Creation of creative assets can but not limited to the following types:
    • Game trailers including announce, gameplay and launch
    • The creation of brand and visual identity for video assets such as branded idents
    • Store page video assets
    • Social media and community video assets
    • Secret Mode website assets
    • Video paid media ads
    • Dev diaries and other to camera assets
    • Secret Mode brand and brand assets

  • In alignment with stakeholders, you will be responsible for the end-to-end creation of video content, from initial concept to final delivery. Blend creative vision with technical expertise to produce high-quality visual stories that align with strategic goals and resonate with target audiences. 
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, the Head of Brand and Creative Project Manager to develop and produce concepts, scripts, provide visual direction, and storyboard content that aligns with brand objectives and audience expectations. 
  • In alignment with Creative Project Manager, manage the production pipeline, including video capture, animation and handling all aspects of post-production. 
  • Editing a range of content including branded campaigns, promotional videos, interviews, tutorials, and social-first clips. 
  • Align video outputs with broader content strategies, which will include the adaptation of content for platform-specific formats (e.g. YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) to maximize engagement. 
  • Utilising your skills in storytelling, pacing, transitions, audio design, colour correction, and motion graphics to ensure the highest quality of asset creation.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Brand and Creative Project Manager, to input into the briefing, reviewing and feedback on work undertaken by creative agencies and creative freelancers, ensuring the highest quality of work and representative of the Secret Mode brand and our published IP. 
  • Collaborating with the Head of Brand and Creative Project Manager to provide advice on the correct use and implementation of Secret Mode brand assets and individual Secret Mode published titles brand assets or Licensed IP guidelines.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a video editor or similar role.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud Experience essential, specifically Adobe Premier and Adobe After Effects
  • Experience working on licensed IP, is of benefit for understanding, and correct implementation of brand guidelines 
  • Must have experience utilizing raw and finalized video files for adaptation into new video assets 
  • Experience capturing gameplay footage, ideally within Unreal or Unity but in-engine isn’t essential.
  • Ideally have experience in creating animations and animated assets
  • Ideal experience creating video assets for online store pages, YouTube and other social media public facing platforms.
  • Ideal experience creating paid ads.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a graphic designer or similar role
