As part of the Secret Mode Communications team, the Social Media and Community Manager will be the lead figure in strategising and delivering social media content for a single, major project. Alongside this, they will forge and oversee a passionate community across relevant channels for this project, fostering a positive, rewarding, safe environment for all. They will find innovative and engaging ways to deliver activities that inspire a large audience, optimise platform presence, and reinforce key marketing focuses for the title.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Own the development of social media and community strategies for the project, in line with the wider marketing strategy
· Work with product management, the development team, external partners, and the wider publishing team to coordinate plans effectively
· Own the content creation process across social and community channels, collaborating where needed with the creative team to create effective visual content
· Build and maintain a calendar of social media output via creating and scheduling posts, alongside monitoring spaces for content to interact with
· Establish robust community spaces on relevant platforms to engage with the project’s audience, via rewarding activities and events
· Moderate and manage community spaces to optimise sentiment – championing top community members and protecting users from toxicity
· Oversee the community feedback loop, gathering feedback from players, presenting this to internal stakeholders, supporting on an action plan to address key points, and feeding back plans to the community
· Produce regular reports on social and community performance and sentiment, with actionable insights for yourself and the publishing team
· Assist when required on producing live media content, such as streaming or voiceover for video assets
· Attendance at industry events, engaging with players in-person, representing your project and Secret Mode
TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU WILL NEED
- 2-3 years experience in roles covering both social media and community management, ideally in a AAA environment
- Ideally you will have experience working alongside major licensors and/or external partners
- Strong understanding of video game marketing, community management, and development pipelines
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- A strategic thinker with the ability to action changes via data and trends
- A proactive self-starting attitude, able to find tasks and opportunities independently
- Comfortable with involvement in live media productions, be it on camera or behind the scenes
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This role requires you to be in our Leamington Spa studio for two days a week and may involve occasional travel to events.
