Lead with Purpose – Become Our Individual Giving Manager and Help Grant Life-Changing Wishes for Children

We’re looking for a passionate and strategic Individual Giving Manager to lead our Regular Giving, Lottery, and Payroll Giving programmes. You’ll be responsible for driving sustainable income growth through acquisition, retention, upgrade, and reactivation campaigns, delivering exceptional supporter experiences and long-term impact.
This is a hands on role where you will combine strategic thinking with campaign delivery, working closely with internal teams and external agencies to bring our fundraising vision to life.
Core Purpose:
The Individual Giving Manager (Committed Giving) will lead the delivery and development of Make-A-Wish’s Regular Giving, Lottery and Payroll Giving programmes. Sitting within the Mass Fundraising team and reporting to the Individual Giving & Legacies Lead, this role is responsible for driving sustainable income growth across our committed giving portfolio, and will lead our programme of acquisition, retention, upgrade, and reactivation for regular donors, working closely with agencies and internal colleagues to deliver excellent supporter experiences and sustainable income growth.
The role line manages one Senior Individual Giving Officer and provide matrix leadership to the telefundraising team, who report into the Senior IG Officer. The role also works closely with data, digital, supporter care, finance and communications teams to develop journeys, ensure compliance, and monitor performance. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role that requires both strategic thinking and campaign execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multi-channel campaigns across Regular Giving, Lottery, and Payroll Giving to acquire and retain supporters
- Manage relationships with suppliers and agencies (particularly with digital, F2F, and fulfilment)
- Develop and optimise insight-led supporter journeys that inspire loyalty and increase lifetime value
- Undertake long-term budgeting and forecasting, including multi-year income modelling
- Continually monitor performance, optimising wherever possible, and report on KPIs
- Line manage a Senior Individual Giving Officer whilst overseeing the telefundraising team
- Ensure compliance is met with the Fundraising Code of Practice, Gambling Commission guidance, and best practice

Essential Criteria:
- Substantial experience in individual giving, with a focus on Regular Giving and Lottery fundraising.
- • Experience of delivering successful multi-channel campaigns across acquisition and retention.
- • Demonstrable experience of managing external suppliers, with a key focus on face-to-face activity.
- • Experience of line managing or mentoring team members to deliver performance goals.
- • Strong understanding of supporter stewardship and donor journeys.
- • Confident project manager with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- • Excellent communication skills, including copywriting and creative briefing.
- • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience of using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- • Knowledge of sector regulation including Fundraising Code, Gambling Commission, and GDPR.
