YOUTH WORKER
Full Time - 35 hours per week | £23,660 per annum | Working Across Barrow & South Lakes
Are you looking for a rewarding role supporting children and young people to thrive?
As one of our Youth Workers, you'll help us plan and deliver high quality and impactful programmes to our communities in Cumbria. This may include one to one coaching, facilitating group work and detached work in the community. Working closely with schools and other youth organisations as well as our internal teams, including our residential site in Ambleside.
This is a fantastic opportunity which will provide the successful candidate with excellent experience in working within the charity and youth work sector.
Education and Qualifications:
Essential:
- A relevant Level 3 qualification and/or equivalent experience
- Current and clean driving licence. For vehicle insurance purposes, you should be at least 21 years of age and have held a full GB driving licence for at least one year
- Level 3 safeguarding or willing to work towards
- First Aid Qualification or willingness to work towards
Desirable:
- Professional qualification as a children’s workforce practitioner (e.g. qualified teacher, youth worker, social worker or healthcare practitioner.)
- D1 Minibus License
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Experience of providing support to children, young people and families
- Practical experience of delivering interventions that support children, young people and families
- Experience of programme design and evaluation against set outcomes
- Practical experience of identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns
Desirable:
- Knowledge and practical application of Early Help Assessment Framework
- Knowledge and practical application of Signs of Safety practice
