We’re looking for a highly organised, values-driven Freelancer with expertise in Events, Communications and Networks to join the Regenerative Futures Fund, an exciting, radical funding initiative based in Edinburgh. This requirement is for 18 days of work in total, starting as soon as possible (August to December 2025) with a working pattern to be agreed.
What We're Looking For
You’ll bring experience and expertise in organising meaningful events and managing digital and in-person communications with a wide range of community groups, grassroots organisations, and partners. You’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, keeps a cool head under pressure, and has a strong sense of care, responsibility, and professionalism.
You’ll need to:
- Have experience planning and coordinating events (in-person and/or online), including venue logistics, outreach, and follow-up.
- Be confident in communicating with clarity, consistency, and professionalism.
- Be tech-savvy: comfortable with Squarespace updates, newsletter creation and distribution, and basic Excel skills.
- Be an excellent communicator with great attention to detail and follow-through.
- Be responsive, extremely organised, able to manage competing priorities, and work independently.
- Be based in Edinburgh and able to join meetings in the Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI) regularly.
This is a rare opportunity to be at the heart of radical, systems-change work grounded in lived experience, community power, and a commitment to justice. You’ll be part of an emerging movement reshaping how funding works in Edinburgh and beyond.
