With exciting growth ahead, we’re looking for a Finance Manager to support our Finance function and help our CFO deliver all financial record keeping, reporting and other ad hoc support of the wider business.

Position Overview
This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager to manage our core financial operations. This role will support the finance function, transitioning it from an outsourced model to an efficient and strategic in-house capability. You will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting strategic decision-making, and enabling sustainable growth across our UK base and US subsidiary. 

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations
  • Own and manage the company’s full-cycle bookkeeping using Xero
  • Prepare timely monthly entity and consolidated management accounts (UK and US entities) including all relevant journals and reconciliations
  • Lead timely and accurate invoicing and credit control; coordinate with Sales to manage debtors
  • Manage accounts payable, including vendor payments and supplier relationships
  • Oversee bank and credit card reconciliations

Compliance & Reporting
  • Prepare and submit UK VAT returns and assist with international tax compliance
  • Ensure accurate calculation and payment of sales partner and staff commissions
  • Support external audits and year-end statutory reporting
  • Maintain well-organised digital finance records and documentation

Strategic Finance Support
  • Collaborate with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Support investor communications and future fundraising initiatives
  • Lead or contribute to ad hoc finance projects and process improvements
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation and efficiency within the finance function
  • Ensure financial controls appropriate to the size of the team are maintained and improved as the company and function grow

Other
  • Carry out additional duties as required by the line manager.

Required Skills & Experience:

Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Newly or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent); QBE considered with strong track record
  • Strong knowledge of Xero and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas)
  • Solid understanding of UK financial regulations and reporting requirements
Desirable
  • Proven experience in a standalone or lead finance role, preferably within a startup or SME environment
  • Experience working with US financial regulations and reporting
  • Previous involvement in investor reporting or fundraising processes
  • Familiarity with CRM or financial planning tools

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable in a hybrid working environment.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment 
  • High degree of personal drive and motivation to succeed in growing a company

Hybrid working:
  • We are a hybrid company so that you will be splitting your time between working at home or in our office located in Shoreditch (at least 1 / 2 days per week)
