Role
The Cash & Payments Associate works closely with colleagues across Operations and Finance to ensure timely and robust management of payments into and out of the Bank relating to customers of the Bank, directly engaged with the Bank or through the Forward Flow Agreements.
 
The roleholder will report to the Servicing Manager.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Servicing Manager, the roleholder closely manages payments into and out of the Bank in relation to customers including 
a)       Loan completion / drawdown payments 
b)      Ensuring payments are reconciled and any suspense items are managed 
c)       Accurate reporting of payment transactions including bank reconciliations across lending and deposit products 
d)      Analysis of balances and maturing deposits raised directly with the Bank or the deposit aggregators 
e)       Supporting the administration of payment mandates and signatories across the Bank with our bankers
f)        Supporting operations and other teams with queries / investigations around payments

Key Tasks
  • Payment processing and approvals in line with procedures 
  • Investigating any anomalies 
  • Managing bank reconciliations and suspense account entries to an acceptable level
  • Escalating any differences in payment behaviour, including preventing fraudulent transactions
  • Contribute to reporting on key performance and risk indicators

Experience
  • Experience in a payments or finance role, preferably within financial services
  • Experienced in MS-Excel, MS-Word

  • A sound understanding of Excel and intermediate calculations
  • Mathematics GCSE A level or equivalent
