Days/Hours: Monday to Friday. Full time (37.5 hours) and Part time (20 hours up to 37.5 hrs) applications will be considered.
Denchi Group is the UK’s leading supplier of high reliability battery systems and is looking to strengthen its finance team through the appointment of an Accounts Associate.
The Role:
We are looking for an Accounts Associate to join our finance team. It is a varied and interesting role, and we are looking for someone who can work unsupervised within the finance function and manage the accounts. You will have the ability to communicate at all levels and work well under pressure.
With overall responsibility for maintenance of the Balance Sheet and general ledger you will have excellent analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have an overarching knowledge of accounting and finance, and able to respond to requests for information in a professional and timely fashion.
Whilst your activities will primarily be within the Finance department, this role also requires you to assist the wider business with additional admin tasks.
Key Tasks:
· Accounts Payable – posting supplier invoices and credit notes, preparing supplier payment runs and posting payments.
· Credit Control – raising customer invoices and credits notes, posting cash receipts and ensuring customers pay in a timely manner.
· Bank Reconciliations, maintenance of cash book & daily cash reporting.
· Weekly reconciliation of Debtor, Stock and Creditors Control accounts.
· Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register.
· Month end accruals and prepayments.
· Assist with preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts.
· Reconciliation of the time booking system for the engineering and production teams.
· Managing petty cash transactions.
· Assisting the efficiency of the office by providing ad hoc admin support as required and performing other duties appropriate to the role.
The ideal Accounts Associate will have:
· Experience working with Financial Software and/or MRP/ERP Systems would be advantageous.
· Good Excel skills.
· Excellent communication both written and verbally.
· A strong emphasis on accuracy and quality, with the ability to problem solve.
· High levels of self-motivation.
· A willingness to learn new tasks, show initiative and be flexible.
· Have a calm and approachable personality and understand the importance of confidentiality.
