Are you an experienced multichannel video producer and editor looking for your next challenge? Here at Kapow Primary we are expanding our in-house video team to revolutionise our marketing video content in 2025.

This is a full-time, permanent role. It will require a minimum of 2 days per week based at our offices in London Bridge.

About Kapow Primary
Kapow Primary is a digital educational publishing product that supports primary school teachers through original short-form videos, lesson plans and other resources and guidance created with specialist teachers.  Over 7,500 primary schools in England use Kapow to support their teaching of eleven foundation subjects.
We are developing our marketing video strategy to make engaging, exciting content that supports our marketing objectives and broader business strategy.
These videos will support activities across the funnel: from awareness and brand-building, to delivering clear, useful onboarding information for new customers. You will be making videos for multiple channels, especially social media, PPC, YouTube, webinars and our website.
You will be comfortable producing creative work that engages customers and prospects, while aligning with brand, tone of voice, and house style guidelines.

The role
Reporting to the Head of Video (with a dotted line to Head of Marketing), you will use your wealth of producing and editing social media marketing content experience to ensure high quality and best practices throughout the team, supporting our marketing video publication deadlines.
We are looking for a creative and experienced social video producer and editor with confident motion graphics skills, who can convey marketing messaging in simple and effective ways.
The successful candidate will enjoy the nuances of scriptwriting for different audiences, the technical aspects of editing and be enthusiastic about video production.
 
What you will do
Under the guidance and direction of our Head of video and Head of marketing, you will:
  • Work to devise video marketing content to a brief.
  • Write scripts for different audiences.
  • Produce and edit Kapow marketing videos to a high standard.
  • Ensure management of rushes/project files/master files according to our storage plan.
  • Support our freelance camera/studio team.
  • Familiarise yourself with, implement and develop our video house-style.
  • Take ownership of projects, and deliver videos to deadline and on budget.
  • Picture research using our stock library accounts.
  • Keep up-to-date with developments in the industry.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align video content to marketing objectives and channel(s).
  • Develop creative approaches to convey our brand messaging through video content.

 You will have:

Essential
  • Relevant professional experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in media, photography, video production, or related field, or a substantial amount of professional experience without a degree.
  • Experience of making marketing video content, including social media.
  • Scriptwriting experience.
  • Experience editing short-form video in a professional environment.
  • A minimum of three years experience using Premiere Pro, After Effects, Motion graphics and the Adobe Suite including Photoshop and colour correction.
  • An acute eye for detail.
  • A flexible, proactive, positive attitude. You will need to be well-organised and able to work with a high level of autonomy.
  • The ability to be a team player and work well with others, including editors, marketing executives, freelance contractors, content creators and graphic designers.

Desired experience
  • An excellent command of written English and grammar.
  • Experience of working with stock footage libraries.
