We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Youth Worker with a passion for engaging young females in meaningful activities that promote health, wellbeing, and life skills. This role focuses on delivering creative, supportive, and empowering youth sessions with a strong emphasis on cooking and themed monthly programming. The post includes both direct delivery and planning time within the allocated 20 hours per week.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – GENERAL 
·       Plan and deliver engaging youth work sessions focused on female engagement, health, and wellbeing in line with monthly themes.

·       Facilitate at least one cooking-based activity per week, helping all young people develop practical skills and healthy habits.

·       Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants.

·       Collaborate with colleagues to develop and evaluate youth programs.

·       Build positive relationships with young people and provide guidance and support during sessions.

·       Maintain accurate records of participation, activities, and any safeguarding concerns.

·       Use designated planning hours effectively to ensure high-quality session delivery.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential:

·       Proven experience working in youth work settings, especially with young females.

·       Ability to plan and lead engaging and inclusive activities.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Availability to work required evening hours.

Desirable:

·       Experience in delivering health and wellbeing activities.

·       Background in planning and facilitating cooking or nutrition sessions.

·       Knowledge of safeguarding and youth development best practices.

Notes

20 hours per week
Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays: 4:00pm – 9:15pm
Tuesdays: 4:00pm – 8:15pm
